24th May 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

This week we should have had a full week off, however 3 days were moved to March for closure due to the uncertainty of the safety of our children and government directives.  Therefore, on Monday and Tuesday, the children can take a break from remote learning.  Teachers are continuing to work on weeks 9 and 10 learning resources and information, and this is being updated on the school website.  Remember do what you can, please do not feel that everything needs to be completed.  There has been major changes to our lives, and ensuring your child feels safe and secure is so important.  This time of lockdown will be (hopefully) such a short time in the grand scheme of things.  We are all in this together and it can be a struggle to balance it all.

I hope you are all well and keeping safe.  I am thinking about all the children and miss all the fun, laughter and learning at school. Myself and the staff have really enjoyed seeing all your amazing work.  Remember you can contact us about anything-email addresses are on the remote learning policy.

This week would have been such a special time for our Primary 4 children who would have been celebrating the Sacrament of First Holy Communion on Saturday.  I would ask that you keep these children and their families in your thoughts and prayers.  This day will happen, and I hope that we look back on this time with fond memories of spending time with our families.  Please keep all those who are sick or finding it difficult to cope at this time in your thoughts and prayers also, and continue to say a prayer to Our Lady, especially in the Month of May.

I hope you all have a lovely week ahead and don't forget to keep up with the Healthy Kidz app- I have seen amazing participation by our boys and girls!  I look forward to seeing you soon.

God bless,

Mrs S. McCafferty
