📚 Dress Up for Literacy Week – A Fantastic Celebration of Reading!

4th Mar 2026

Our school was buzzing with excitement as pupils and staff came together to celebrate World Book Day in style!

Children arrived dressed as their favourite book characters, transforming the school into a wonderful world of stories. From classic fairy-tale heroes and magical wizards to modern-day adventurers and much-loved storybook characters, the creativity on display was truly impressive. Staff also joined in the fun. We had Paddington, Gru, A Minion and The Cat in The Hat teaching the children today!

Throughout the day, classes took part in a variety of book-themed activities. Our Primary 7 children paired up with our younger children to share and read their favourite stories together. Primary 7 showed great responsibility, patience and encouragement as excellent role models. The event was a fantastic way to celebrate the joy of reading and to inspire a lifelong love of books.

A big thank you to parents for your continued support in helping pupils create such imaginative costumes. Your efforts made the day even more special.

Well done to everyone who took part in making World Book Day such a memorable and magical event! 📖✨
