BUS UPDATE, PRIMARY 1 REMINDER & OTHER INFORMATION

27th Aug 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Again, a lot of information, but I want everyone to be best informed so that the school day can run as smoothly as possible.

I am delighted to inform you that the school bus, as provided by North West Community Transport will be in operation from Tuesday 1st September.  There will be 2 runs.  Please be patient as Ivor becomes familiar with new pick ups.

We would ask that all children on the bus wear face masks, and space themselves out on the bus as much as possible.  Siblings should sit next to one another.

Bus children should stay outside in the playground until 8.45am, where they can enter their classrooms, unless it is raining.  Mrs McCafferty will supervise.  All other children should enter the school from 8.45-9.20am.

Children should wash their hands immediately when entering the school.  It would also be advisable for children to have their own personal bottle of hand sanitiser to use when necessary and have a clean tissue in their pocket.  For those getting the bus, all other procedures at home should be followed regarding temperature checks etc... before school, still apply. If your child is unwell, please do not send them to school.

There are still spaces available on the bus, so if you would like to avail of this service please let Sharon know at the school office.

REMINDER: Primary 1 children will go home each day at 12noon from Tuesday 1st September-Friday 11th September (NO LUNCH).  They will go home at 2pm thereafter.

REMINDER: There will be no fruit or milk available in school to purchase.  Each child (P1-7) will require a healthy break from Tuesday 1st September.  Children should have their own water bottle (labelled with their name) prepared each day.  Staff will not be able to fill these bottles, and children will not be permitted to walk around the school building to access drinking water.

Kind regards,

Suzann McCafferty
